ABOUT PJF:
PJF Farm, a “Paradise in Disguise”, is a 3rd generation working rice and crawfish farm which encompasses nearly 4,000 acres in Evangeline Parish. The land also has three fishing lakes (Old Lake, Indian Lake & Ty Lakes) filled with bass, bream and sacalait (white perch) so boat fishing, kayaking or kayak fishing are available. We are proud to have one of the largest wading bird rookeries in the state of Louisiana where professional and amateur photographers come from all over the United States to view roseate spoonbills, egrets, anhingas, ibis, cormorants, and so many other birds. Our hunting leases include: deer, duck, rabbit, hog, alligator and squirrel. In addition, our hiking trails are used to give our Plant Foraging, Birding Workshops, historical land & forest symposiums and other nature related educational seminars on. PJF Farm is home to spectacular seasonal wildlife communities associated with three major ecosystems and six individual habitat types.
Our weekend will include Kayaking/Kayak fishing, shooting clays, farm tour, Bird Rookery tour, hiking trails, catered crawfish boil. The lodge is very large and spacious for us to all enjoy each others company, complete with a large porch with lots of rocking chairs. Theres a fire pit and seating area right outside the lodge. Plenty of yard games for us to have friendly competitions. There will be an option to go crawfishing for an additional $25 & hog hunting for $200 (no charge if no hog is harvested).
