Get ready for a unique, action-packed experience in the Sunshine State! A group of 12 adventurous women from across the country will gather in West Palm Beach for a one-of-a-kind Invasive Iguana Hunt—a day spent on three boats eradicating the destructive green iguanas from Florida’s delicate ecosystems.

But that’s not all! We’re also spicing up the trip with an exotic/invasive species fishing excursion, targeting wild species like clown knife fish, snakeheads, and peacock bass—all while soaking up the sun and making memories with an incredible crew of outdoorswomen.

🧠 Why Iguana Hunting Matters:

Florida’s green iguana problem is no joke. These non-native reptiles are damaging ecosystems, endangering native wildlife, and causing costly infrastructure issues by burrowing and nesting in urban areas. Here’s why this hunt is more than just fun—it’s conservation in action:

  • 🌱 Environmental Damage: Iguanas ravage native plants and crops and destabilize soil with their burrows.

  • 🐦 Wildlife Threat: They outcompete native species and eat bird eggs, harming local populations.

  • 🏚️ Infrastructure Issues: Sidewalks, seawalls, and canal banks are being compromised by their tunnels.

  • 🦠 Health Hazards: Their droppings can spread bacteria like salmonella in residential areas.

  • 💸 Economic Cost: Property damage and landscaping repairs cost homeowners and communities millions.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) supports humane population control—and that’s exactly what we’re doing!
