Leadership Spotlight

Jennifer Piasecki-Dums – Wisconsin Chapter President

My name is Jennifer and I am the Wisconsin Chapter President for ADC!

I have been a member of ADC since 2018 after looking for a ladies group that was outdoor and conservation focused.  I am extremely dedicated to promoting women in the outdoors,  helping them become more comfortable in what they want to pursue and educating wherever I can.

My journey in the outdoors started long ago as a child fishing with my father then grew into hunting with my husband some 20 years or so ago.

I have since become basically obsessed with most things Outdoors like hunting,  fishing, gardening, foraging, hiking, bird watching and more! I love to can/preserve food, cook and bake as well.

I pursued the leadership position with ADC to help keep the presence growing and hopefully encourage more women to be aware of opportunities to grow more comfortable in the outdoors.

I am a member of many Conservation organizations and hold office in several of them and hope to continue to inspire women to not only grow but give back to Conservation as it is just as important as enjoying your time outdoors.

When I am not traveling the world hunting and fishing, I also own my own business, Provider Outdoors, which strives to support women who hunt,  fish, forage, garden and ranch. Provider Outdoors is also a sponsor for ADC and members receive an exclusive discount! I also work extensively with Prois Hunting Apparel as the Wisconsin/Minnesota State Coordinator and the Scheels Representative. Prois is the most comprehensive women’s outdoor line in the world, and ADC members also receive a Prois discount too!

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with any Outdoor, Provider, Prois, Hunting,  Conservation or other questions,  I am happy to help!

Chapter Highlights

Pennsylvania & Northeast Chapters

The PA Chapter & Northeast Chapter collaborated to host a booth at the Elk Expo in July in Benezette, PA. The ladies had crafts for the kids to do, raffles to raise money for sending kids to conservation camp, and talked to lots of folks about the good that ADC is doing.

Indiana Chapter

Our Indiana Chapter visited the largest animal rehab center in the state, located in Valporaiso!  they said that it was a hot day, but they still had a great time with Drew at Humane Indiana Wildlife. There was a lot of great information shared and plenty of animal ambassadors to meet, including an opossum, squirrel, foxes, owls, and birds of prey.

We appreciate all the work they do for injured or orphaned wildlife at the center, and their efforts to educate the public on ways we can help support animals in the wild. If you get a chance to visit them, definitely go! – Abbi, Indiana Chapter VP

Northeast Chapter

Vice President Sara hosted a five mile, community hike on July 12th in Massachusetts on Mount Greylock where the ladies got to enjoy the views at the top with Luke the GSP, mascot of the day!

The Northeast Chapter also has the chance to collaborate with the BOW Program with MA F&W, NWTF and Mount Grace Land Trust to host Women on Target: Intro to Shotguns. 21 ladies came from all over Massachusetts to learn all about shotguns. This course covered safety, gun fit, shotgun types and sizes, range rules, loading & unloading, and of course shooting. Everyone had the chance to shoot several types, sizes, and styles of guns at both stationary and moving targets.
